B3dge aims to support the social manufacturing revolution of
open-source self replicating machines/3Dprinters and encourage its
potential use for disruptive innovation worldwide.
We aim to become an open knowledge platform for disruptive innovation and with B3dLabs at our core envision the possibility of very rapidly distributing the latest products and information to people and communities worldwide, enabling them to create (or download from the internet) complex products without the need for expensive industrial infrastructure.
These self replicating machines, programmed with open-source technologies have the potential to essentially act as a universal constructor, making it affordable for anyone to instantly create, manufacture and share open-source hardware on their own. We are now entering a post-scarcity economy, an era of the 'instant age' in which potentially anything can be manufactured instantly, challenging the bedrock rule of economics.
